I love the trivia stuff. The contest was awesome and the prizes were great. It was sorta slow at first, going individually down the line; but, after anyone could raise their hand, it added a level of tension that kept things moving fast. I'd like to see more of that stuff at club as well as things like the "guess the character" game.

It would have been fine if more than a few people knew the answers. I just felt like only one or two people in the room could have answered the questions, and then the mainstream anime questions that more people could get were few and far between.
Maybe next time limit the questions to anime we have seen in club, mainstream, and scatter the other stuff in?
Food was good and the socializing afterwards was nice.

Maybe next time limit the questions to anime we have seen in club, mainstream, and scatter the other stuff in? Food was good and the socializing afterwards was nice. Anime seen in club was: Penguin Girl Black Lagoon Trigun Highschool of the Dead *Technically Summer Wars (probably 1 or 2 more that I don't recall...) Due to the club's late start we had minimal anime shown... As for the actual questions, 85% of the 120-125 anime that made up the 135 questions (of which only ~75-90 we went through) were main stream in America over the last 30 years. If you mean mainstream as in 10 years ago to present then yes they indeed were only about 20-30%. Basically this trivia contest was (In my view, I'm not speaking for the officers) more about judging the club members range of knowledge and viewing habits then it was anything else. Hence the quality of the prizes. Future instances of trivia, etc. will be tailored to the last 10-15 years since other then maybe 3-5 people, no one else displayed any instance of having watching anything from years prior. In comparison to the guess who game earlier in the year, which was overwhelmingly easy and based on "Well-Known" influential characters, this was the essentially the other side of the spectrum which incorporated a larger time span, range of genres, and content ratings. Aka it was tailored to cover ALL bases. Also the going down the line portion was specifically decided upon so that everyone had an equal chance, since otherwise 3-5 people would likely dominate.

Having it explained that way makes more sense. I can understand having it done that way.
